Lorca Psychiatry & Wellness

Real mental health care for real people.

About Us

At Lorca Psychiatry and Wellness, we believe healing begins with genuine human connection. Mental health recovery is about more than medication, worksheets, or symptom checklists- it’s about being truly seen, heard, empowered, and supported. That level of care can’t be delivered through rushed appointments or cookie-cutter treatment plans. It grows from authentic, therapeutic relationships built on trust, empathy, and a sincere commitment to your well-being.

We know how hard it is to carve out time for yourself, especially in a culture that values pushing through. That’s why we offer telehealth (in addition to in-person visits) that is flexible, evidence-based, and designed to work with your life. Whether you're in between meetings, sitting in your car after drop-off, or curled up on the couch in your PJs—we’ll meet you where you are, literally.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. Just come as you are, we’ll meet you with warmth, understanding, and care that truly centers you.

Ready to feel more like yourself again? We’re here when you’re ready.

Our Services & Conditions Treated

  • A psychiatric diagnostic evaluation is our first appointment together. It’s a comprehensive conversation where I get to know you, your mental health history, current concerns, medical background, and goals for treatment.

    We’ll talk about things like:

    • What’s been going on lately

    • Any past experiences with therapy or medication

    • Your sleep, energy, mood, and daily functioning

    • Your support system, stressors, and what’s most important to you

By the end of the evaluation, we’ll discuss what might be going on diagnostically and outline a plan- whether that includes medication, therapy, referrals, or a mix of approaches. It’s not a rushed process; it’s a collaborative start to your care.

  • Medication management with supportive therapy means our sessions include both checking in on how your medications are working and creating space to talk about what’s going on in your life.

    We’ll cover things like:

    • How you’re feeling- emotionally, mentally, and physically

    • What’s been stressful or overwhelming lately

    • What’s helping and what’s not

    • Medication effectiveness, side effects, and any adjustments needed

Supportive therapy isn’t the same as long-term psychotherapy, but it offers space to explore issues like managing stress and burnout; building routines that actually work for you; making meaningful changes to help with emotional regulation, sleep, boundaries, or substance use; and navigating relationships, work, identity shifts, illness, or big life changes

It's a collaborative, low-pressure space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll check in, track progress, and make thoughtful adjustments together—medically and emotionally.

  • We work with both adolescents and adults with ADHD to develop treatment plans that are realistic, supportive, and personalized. This can include medication when appropriate, as well as strategies for managing executive functioning, overwhelm, and emotional regulation. We’ll talk about what ADHD looks like in real life, not just on paper, and tailor care to fit your brain, your goals, and your lifestyle.

  • Whether you're managing general anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, or repetitive behaviors like skin picking or hair pulling, we offer a combination of medication support and therapy-informed strategies to help you feel more in control. We’ll focus on understanding your patterns, reducing shame, and building tools for daily life. Care is always collaborative and paced with compassion.

  • Living with chronic illness or autoimmune conditions brings a unique kind of mental load- one that’s often invisible. We specialize in working with people managing both physical and mental health challenges, offering care that respects your lived experience. We'll explore ways to ease anxiety, improve self-advocacy, prevent burnout, process medical trauma, manage medication interactions, and support emotional well-being alongside physical care.

  • Mood disorders can make everyday life feel heavy or unpredictable. We offer thorough evaluation, thoughtful medication planning, and supportive therapy to help stabilize mood, improve functioning, and rebuild energy, motivation, and hope. Whether you're experiencing persistent low mood or shifts between highs and lows, we’ll work together to create a plan that supports balance and clarity.

  • We offer compassionate care for women experiencing anxiety, depression, or mood changes during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

Haylei Lorca is currently working toward certification in perinatal mental health and stays up-to-date on current evidence-based treatments and support that honors your role as a parent and a whole person. Whether you’re dealing with mood shifts, rage, intrusive thoughts, or overwhelm—you’re not alone, and there is help.

  • Substance use and recovery are deeply personal, and treatment should be, too. We provide nonjudgmental, trauma-informed support for people navigating substance use, whether you're exploring change, in active recovery, or somewhere in between. We offer psychiatric care for co-occurring mental health concerns, medication options when appropriate, and a space where honesty is welcome and shame has no seat at the table.

  • We provide trauma-informed psychiatric care that recognizes how past experiences can shape mood, behavior, and physical health. We’ll approach your care gently and respectfully, with a focus on safety, trust, and symptom relief.

Haylei Lorca, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP

Hello! I’m Haylei Lorca, a doctorally-prepared, board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. I have seen that mental health care works best when it’s collaborative, compassionate, and real. I take a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to treatment, but I also believe that lived experience, humor, and honesty belong in the room, too.

Before starting Lorca Psychiatry and Wellness, I worked in community mental health, integrated care, and outpatient psychiatry for many years. These experiences shaped my trauma-informed, patient-centered, and holistic approach. I also hold a certification in addictions and am currently completing advanced training in perinatal mental health. I’m especially passionate about supporting women, young adults, and people navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, motherhood, or the emotional weight of chronic health conditions. My goal is always to create a space where you feel safe enough to be your full, unfiltered self, even on the hard days.
