Our Story
Lorca Psychiatry & Wellness is a focused psychiatry practice for women navigating burnout, neurodivergence, complex life transitions, and chronic illness.
Many of our patients are thoughtful, high-achieving women who appear capable on the outside but feel exhausted by the effort it takes to keep holding everything together. They may be teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, or caregivers. Over time, many have become so accustomed to meeting expectations, masking struggles, and caring for others that they have lost touch with their own needs, limits, and intuition. Some are only recently beginning to understand lifelong patterns through ADHD, autism, OCD, chronic illness, or hormonal transitions. Most have spent years feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or wondering why life has felt more difficult than it seems to for those around them. They come to our practice seeking clarity, self-understanding, and a way of moving through life that feels more authentic and sustainable.
When things finally start to make sense
Whether seeking clarity around neurodivergence, struggling with intrusive thoughts, navigating hormonal changes, or managing the emotional impact of chronic illness, patients often arrive looking for a space where they feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood. For many, it is the first time their internal experience feels accurately reflected back to them.
Care that is collaborative and intentional
Patients are supported through relationship-centered, personalized mental health care grounded in continuity, compassion, and respect for lived experience. Haylei Lorca, DNP, PMHNP-BC, provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management alongside supportive therapy. Her therapeutic framework is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and existential philosophy. She integrates practical strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and solution-focused therapy to support meaningful, real-world change.
Katie Jones, LCSW, provides psychotherapy support for patients who benefit from additional or more frequent therapy alongside their psychiatric care with Haylei. Together, care is steady, collaborative, and human, with an emphasis on depth over volume and meaningful progress over rushed encounters.
