We specialize in women’s mental health across the lifespan, including hormonal transitions such as PMDD, perimenopause, postpartum, and fertility-related changes, as well as depression, anxiety, OCD, burnout, neurodivergence (ADHD and “AuDHD”), and chronic stress. We also support the emotional impact of chronic illness and medical trauma within the U.S. healthcare system.
Do I need a formal diagnosis before starting care?
No. An existing formal diagnosis is not required. Diagnostic clarity is developed as part of the evaluation process and many patients arrive without prior labeling or answers.
What does care look like at Lorca Psychiatry & Wellness?
Care is relationship-based, collaborative, and individualized. Haylei provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management alongside supportive therapy informed by evidence-based approaches. Katie provides psychotherapy for patients who benefit from additional or more frequent therapeutic support. Care is designed to move beyond symptom management toward deeper understanding, clinical clarity, and sustainable change over time.
Do you work with neurodivergent patients?
Yes. A significant portion of our practice supports women with ADHD, “AuDHD,” autism, and related forms of neurodivergence, particularly those who have gone undiagnosed or misunderstood for years. Care includes attention to masking, burnout, sensory sensitivity, and emotional overwhelm as they appear in daily life.
I have felt dismissed in healthcare settings. Is this a good fit?
Many of our patients share this history. We recognize how often women’s symptoms are minimized, fragmented, or overlooked. Our approach is grounded in careful listening, continuity of care, and a sustained commitment to understanding lived experience in full context.
Do you offer therapy and medication management?
Yes. Haylei provides psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive therapy within an integrated model of care. Katie provides ongoing psychotherapy for patients who benefit from additional or more frequent sessions. We do not offer brief or transactional medication visits. Care is structured to allow time for context, nuance, and thoughtful clinical decision making.
What if I am unsure whether I “fit” a diagnosis?
You do not need to fit neatly into a diagnostic category to begin care. Many patients arrive with overlapping concerns, uncertainty, or long-standing questions about their mental health. The focus is on understanding your experience rather than assigning a narrow label.
Do you take insurance?
Haylei Lorca, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is in-network with Anthem/Carelon and Optum, including UnitedHealthcare and UMR plans.
Katie Jones, LCSW, is in-network with Anthem/Carelon.
Self-pay options are available for those who prefer them. Superbills can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
